Gastric Sleeve vs Gastric Bypass

Gastric bypass or gastric sleeve surgery.  Two very different surgeries that me and my daughter had.  My physician recommended the gastric bypass surgery for me (I was 53 at the time of my surgery) due to the failure of the lap band and complications from that surgery.  However, my daughter, who was 22 years at the time of her surgery had the gastric sleeve.

Our results appear to be the same, and we are both happy with our chosen surgeries.  I think there are a lot of variables that need to go into your decision for which type of surgery you would ultimately choose, where you will have the surgery, and choosing your physician.
